Note: Tel: 0800 is a freephone number, Back-up 0780 is subject to normal call charges.
REGISTERING YOUR CALL
An operator will answer the telephone with the greeting “Siemens Support ”. The operators are competent at taking your calls, however they are not Technical, therefore you should assist by being precise and specific when relaying the information to them.
Please have the following information to hand prior to calling:-
1. Your name
2. Company name
3. Your contact telephone number and email address
4. Call centre reference number [940482637]
5. If a response contract only, please provide a valid purchase order number
6. Confirm if you require site attendance or phone support (If known)
7. When/if asked for Siemens Product reply [Factory Automation / General Motors]
8. When/if asked for Siemens Business area please reply [ASFA/GMC]
9. Summary of fault, including circumstances leading up to the fault
10. Priority of call (this will be re-evaluated by our engineers)
a. P1 = Emergency call/plant down
b. P2 = Planned response by required date
c. P3 = Request for information or a long term planned activity
11. Any other information such as Serial number of the hardware or version & revision of the software and your reference number if applicable.
Note: By Quoting contract number [940482637] the call centre should be able to retrieve this information from the call centre database.
At the completion of receiving your details the operator will provide you with a unique reference number which you should retain.
Your call is now logged and there should be no further need to contact the call centre.
Please forward a copy of your purchase order to service.gbi.industry@siemens.com quoting the unique reference number.
PROCESSING YOUR CALL
Details of your call will be passed to qualified technical staff for processing. As a result you may receive a telephone call from a support engineer to clarify or ascertain further details and possible to arrange for remote or on-site access to your system.
