LAC FAULT FINDING / TROUBLE SHOOTING
Section of site with all the isolators active and POR (pop out rollers) flashing, this means the 24v DC supply has gone into error and will be showing 4 red lights in cabinet for that section.
To reset system make sure it is turned off (if running) by the main stop button on MCP near the HMI lock off the panel and go to the cabinet where the error is and reset the supply by pressing the 4 small grey buttons below red lights each one will turn green when reset.
Two thermostats inside every cabinet. The one on the left controls the setting for the fans on when they kick in. The right hand thermostat is, the main temperature control for the panel itself if this, is set below 40 degrees it will send alarms to the HMI with temperature not okay and give you a, number which relates to the panel it is situated in.
The top of a VSD we have on site these get clogged up with dust over a period of time normally around a month or so we clean them out every 4 weeks. Simple done with a soft bristle paint brush.
The comms link into the bottom of the VSD's these often get get really dusty aswell thus all clean at same time as the VSD coolong fans. If these aren't cleaned or fitted in correctly or broken you will get drives issues on HMI the sections they control will show, up as red if the VSD isn't in fault then it's a possibility its dust on the ethernet cables so will get control issues. Most people will panic and call Siemens support but quick basic check will solve issues.
Inlet filter housing and fan for cooling. If the medium filter becomes blocked again you can get heat problems but this won't show on the HMI you will just smell a, burning smell and have heat radiating from cabinet. The cases are, only held on by torx bits and easy to remove to be cleaned out properly again about every 4 weeks for strip down. But filters twice a week checked and banged out to keep clean.
