Job Description

As a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer, you will work presciently to maintain and improve production lines and its complex high speed production machinery across the whole site – providing technical expertise to enhance machine performance and reliability.

Your Responsibilities

Skills and Knowledge

You will be exceptionally well versed in the following:

Ensuring root cause analysis is preformed as and when its required.
Completing advanced preventative and breakdown maintenance to ensure the machines are working to the highest standard but also meeting product quality targets as well.
Carrying out all pre-use inspections of the machinery to ensure they are safe to operate and up to the best standards.
Making sure all preventative and corrective complex asset care and breakdown maintenance is completed, as defined by the asset care plan to ensure machines are running to the best of their abilities to ensure a smooth production line.
Working as a team to ensure production keeps running as smoothly as possible to ensure quality, yield and safety targets are met.
Conducting QESH checks to ensure that product and equipment remains within specification and escalate any non-conformance immediately.
Performing other tasks as required by the department to ensure team performance and manufacturing output are achieved to the best standard.
Making sure effective hand-overs at the shift start and during shift to include all necessary safety, technical and quality issues as this will ensure help others and keep the machines running to the highest standard.

Experience

You will possess a HNC in Mechanical Engineering and be qualified or experience apprentice served engineer. You will have worked hard to climb your way up through the junior engineering ranks within a high profile FMCG, CPG (consumer packaged goods), Food & Drinks or Pharmaceutical Company to become a well-respected and experienced Mechanical Engineer.
