Job Description
The Head of Operations role is a senior appointment and will report into the Managing Director, you will be targeted on strategic plans to ensure output meets or exceeds annual and longer-term objectives. As a senior manager, you will be involved in all major strategy planning and will be expected to build and develop a culture of positive leadership within the operational teams to support the continued growth of the business.
The role will suit an experienced senior leader, ideally from a manufacturing and/or construction background, possessing sound commercial acumen and the ability to successfully manage a large, engaged workforce
Your Responsibilities
• Management and coaching of operational team managers including Production, Procurement, Logistics, Fleet and Distribution
• Promoting positive leadership and accountability across all operational divisions
• Supporting the revenue growth, working closely with the Senior Finance Manager to manage output targets and maintain margin objectives
• Identifying opportunities across the business for efficiency improvements and leading all major strategic operational changes
• Managing all operational KPIs and reporting to senior stakeholders on performance levels
• Maintaining the high performance and customer satisfaction which is integral to the success of the business
• Promote a culture of quality excellence and 5-star customer service throughout all teams
• Accountable for manufacturing and installation budget P&L, responsible for driving performance improvements on costs
Skills and Knowledge
• Extensive experience of working at senior level with proven track record of delivering successful operational management
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Experienced working a fast-paced environment with a ‘hands on’ approach to managing full operations
• Well-developed commercial, organisational, and financial skills
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and people-management skills
Experience
