Your Responsibilities
As a Group Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, no day will be the same, you would need to be an ambitious individual ready for any challenge, working for a world leading automated solutions company will not be simple but will definitely be rewarding, with the Operations Director really wanting to enhance the health and safety across all global sites. The role will be based in the Widnes area but will require occasional travel to other sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, manage, and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems at all sites.
- Be responsible for ALL relevant health and safety policies to ensure they are in place and well understood throughout the sites and to seek to continuously improve.
- Take responsibility in sites being compliant with current / pending health and safety and Environmental legislations.
- Champion safety plans to develop and ensure they are continuously developed and implemented throughout the company to improve working habits.
- Compilation and review of risk assessments, training records and standard operating procedures where applicable.
- Have full autonomy to use initiative and ensure the workplace exceeds all health and safety requirements.
- Prevention and precautions against, or adequate control of, exposure to hazardous substances, and danger from flammable, explosive, electrical, noise, radiation, and manual handling risks.
- Drive the Implementation and ongoing management of ISO 14001 system, for certain areas of the business.
- Environmental continuous improvement, waste and cost minimisation.
- Ongoing management of Group ISO9001 system.
Skills and Knowledge
- NEBOSH Diploma
- 5 years+ experience working in Health and Safety

- Multi-site experience
- Experience working with ISO 14001 & 45001
