JOBLOGIC - 4 POINT ISSUE RECORDING PROCESS

1. ISSUE:

Arrived on site and spoke shift manager about the fault. Informed they wanted to link out the motors so they could take the section out and put their new bend in.

2. ROOT CAUSE:

Found a loose wire whilst I was going through the fault as I was getting the signal for the motors to run. Manager pulled the wire and it sparked. Turned system off. Rewired and turned back on then safety relay had blown. Linked it out and then got the original fault. Continued to fault find the system, linking parts out of the panel getting further but it was a multiple of faults. This was a signal error from conveyor that was played with then that caused a fault in the panel.

3. RESOLUTION:

Time got on and site agreed that if I could get it running anyway then they would be happy with it. Got the main line running by putting power onto DA2 relay, then the top three finger lines ran by putting a link from power supply to link 18 which is the switch to start the system. Shift Leader agreed it was a fix that they could manage with to get production finished as long as someone stayed near the isolator as that’s the only way to stop the mech as the safety relay doesn’t work now. site are happy with this and have a person manning the isolator in case of any problems.

4. IMPACT:

While the issue was rectified site suffered 30 minutes of downtime!
