How would you like to work for a global leader? This is a brilliant and unique opportunity for a motivated, Power Electronic Chief Engineer to join and become a key player in the market. In this leadership role, you will be accountable for the technical direction of the program, defining the product architectures to meet customer requirements and leveraging the best available technology to do so. You will play a key role in working with senior technical staff, driving the engineering teams to achieve the design and development goals, and ensuring system performance is robustly validated throughout. You will be working for a company that wants to see you succeed and you would be given autonomy in the position and you would report directly to the head of engineering
Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing the approach to meet the customer requirements to ensure a reliable, manufacturable product that meets the commercial targets.
- Satisfying customers with a fast, accurate, and technically competent resolution of technical issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Being responsible for setting clear expectations for task delivery – technical quality and time.
- Liaising with other personnel within the business to ensure that all projects are completed in the time frame and to customer satisfaction.
- Verifying and underwriting off all technical deliverables on the project including requirements, design review documentation, change management, design configuration and manufacturing process.
- Regular review of the product market and technology advances to identify opportunities to develop new products and/or upgrades.
Requirements
- Proven ability to lead a team of skilled engineers in product development.
- Good understanding of the principles of Systems engineering
- Expert knowledge in the design of power electronic systems in one or more of:

Switch Mode power supply design
-
High-frequency digital and analogue circuits
-
High-frequency magnetic components (transformers).
- Experience in design for high reliability in electronic systems
- Further education qualification in electronics or other relevant disciplines
- Must be eligible to gain/already hold a minimum of SC level clearance
